Bubbling expectancy
And trembling fear
The effects of the apocalypse
Were slowly drawing near

Dust clouds of fallout
Became the after scourge of man
Along with the destruction
Became the nucleus, of the nuclear plan

As peoples watched in terror
Eyeballs were melted out
Flesh dropped off their bones
They had no time to shout

Yet still fresh mushrooms grew
Destruction now, on auto-pilot
Press button technology
Supremacy, gains ill-got

There was no-one left around
To examine mankinds' black box
Apart from cockroaches
Who were immune to the nuclear pox.
