Daddy, you were there when I needed you most
Yes, it’s Father’s Day, and I want to boast
Love for your child was your creed
It was being an adult in proceed
You took your responsibility serious
But when it came to discipline, you were furious
Your method was teaching responsibility
So I could stand alone in reality
Your words being your motto
Yes, you taught me how to drive an auto
But this is your day
Let my words go this way
Daddy you taught me right from wrong
You showed me how to get along
You gave me reason in why I do belong
You were my true father
Your life walking around heaven
So Happy Granddad’s Day
My heart with love for you that will always stay
Once again, Happy Father’s Day
Thank you Grandpa in every way
