Once I was asked
Why men called boats

And cars

And other worldly possessions
Shes and I realised it was because

It was something they owned
And that is what we are

Something to own
Not anymore

Owning a human just isn't right
Nor is it right

To be a human that is allowed
To be owned

And demeaned

Until that person is nothing

Why she?

I'm sorry
