Impossible to judge
But it is nonetheless
A smudge upon
The pavement
Like a stain
Of what disdain,
Discrimination
And the slain
Can not explain
In just assuming
One the perpetrator
Well before the act
Even committed
Is to be acquitted
Of the justice lacked
Within a broken system’s
Circumstantial
Evidence’s victim
Or a cause
As probable
As prejudices
On patrol
And like the order it upholds
Can not be known
Or overthrown
Until it’s shown
Above the law
By those abiding on their phone
