I drive down a road
There lies a dead dog
But I don’t see a dead dog

I see a speeding car
I see a person not caring
I see a happy dog
I see a curious dog
I see a father making a sign
I see a sign for “Lost Dog”
I see a mother calling out
I see s mother holding a child
I see a tear
I see a boy crying

I don’t see a dead dog
I see a waste of a good life
From a person who still has one
