I lay here on the grass
Looking up at the sky
Eyes moving and searching
For that rare shooting star
I took a breathe, deep and slow
My chest rising, and falling
A minute passes by
And then another one
Then a streak of light
Zips across the sky
I close my eyes
Making my wish
Wishing for someone out there
Who’s also wishing for me
I open my eyes
And I’m still wishing
