The southern scent
The Dew in the mist
The bayou still
The skies enterprising will
The moon shining a beautiful smile
The environment being right while
Under the Magnolia tree
Romance kisses
Oh that southern atmosphere
Caress between
The summer heat adding to the warmth
Passion with power
Hour after hour
The plantation being the backdrop
A Southern Belle doesn’t want that night to stop
It was time reflecting in tell
In the distance, one heard the ringing of a church bell
Yet nearby, there was a drinking well
It was that old magnolia tree
A southern memory back
It was real
It’s no longer a secret, but it becomes my life back being my seal.
