Riding on the moon
It’s a roller coaster ride
The waxing & waning of the moon
I just simply take in my stride

For I’m just another ordinary moonchild
Who lives his life forever on moonshine
I’m just another ordinary moonchild
The muse in me doth on me feast and dine

The waxing is my time of brightness
With creative abandon do I thrive
The waning causes moody unhappiness
To overcome this I do strive

The moon is my personal mentor
Helping me weave many a tale
That which makes me a creator
For otherwise life would turn stale

I’m just another ordinary moonchild
Who from the sun dost not hide

Old Footnotes - It is two days to the new moon and as I wane to my lowest ebb, I always read this poem that I had written a couple of years ago and immediately feel refreshed for I know the waning is going to followed by the waxing and soon I will once again be at my best...
