You’re watching a movie,
its upsetting to you
You’re screaming at the characters in it
to change , do something else
be different, so you can feel better,

All the while you have the remote control in your hand,
the instrument to change it all
to choose a different reality
But you remind yourself

I'm not the one with the power
to change to make  a difference in this world ,
its them , they not I that must change
and I will respond and react
in accordance with their choices

I don’t  choose for me
They must choose for me
