All of us are tenants of the relationships that house us
Paying cause we rented, filling someone else’s pockets
Knee deep in it, day to day exposure
Hiding feelings, faking our own composure

Checks coming in, spending but no rewards
Paid the bill but lost in our relationship
Nothing for our selves fed their pleasure
Nothing coming back , wasted treasure

Blinded by their light, living in the darkness
Never getting out, cause they stopping all progress
You cant make a move, cause u live in tight quarters
Back stroke, front stroke, navigate the waters

Thought you was it, but seems it was just me, thinking in my mind that you was that kind
Looking in my thoughts, now I see the sign
So, do I resign

Can't make a move, cause we living in tight quarters
Inside looking out, navigate the waters
Flashlight in my hand, but we living in the darkness
Never getting out, cause you stopping all our progress
