Hide & Seek
I am sure nearly all of
you have either heard
of or played this game.
Closing ones eyes then
listening attentively to
deduce what is where.
Equating from the spot
that the hider stands as
to the last noise emitted.
In effect we were looking
for sound as it was our
only point of reference.
Nobody can successfully
hide silence, even manage
to camouflage or conceal.
Since lockdown we have all
been hiding, while somehow,
universal volumes are muted.
Our only punctuation marks
are birds, we need a rainbow,
with a *** of pandemonium.
