" The sage sat beside the swirling river
as calm as the gentle ripple ebbing in rivulets
in his sight stood a fellow with a rod and line fishing
sage watched as line is cast again and again pulling here a' there
line skips the stream, dips then jerks and floats upwards to dip again
a twist of the wrist, a tug, a pull and another cast to the west or north
all a'while air bubbles permeate the gentle stream popping above
tis clear the fish were home and having quite a swim
says sage watching, the fish has not taken the bait
Why you playing a fish that's not on hook "
If you have a fixed mindset, you have the tendency to belief that the talents, intelligence, and even your habits (whether good or bad) can never be changed. Obsession or fixation is the open door to madness.

This belief prevents you from exploring other avenues for problem solving; makes you avoid new ideas and way of doing things; and is a major factor for keeping a bad habit even if it is harmful to you.
