Don't make me into him?
Don't make me a pretense?
For I just acting out a scene that you're directing.

If I'm not perfect?
You knew this from the start.
Don't try to change me to impress your friends.

So they love the last guy you dated.
And give you all sorts of opinions that I'm not your type.

Don't make me into him?
Because we just are pretending to fool a few.

Like many in church does before the lord.
