Nothing would be gained
by my restless hurry
only the ripeness of time
would then set me free-

every life invariably
does have some broken part
we don't walk away in dismay
we keep our very heart-

the mist will be dispersed
by the noon-day sun
the interim is the bridge
that spans to what will be done

nothing would be gained
if faith I were to have none
the waiting is the silver-lining
then the spring of hope would have begun.
