You cannot draw me Can't properly express me in words You want to write me down Try to convey your hurt But you cannot do so When words cannot rightfully tell What you've been through If you've been through hell
You cannot draw an emotion Even if you can bend it to your will You can, however, bleed it dry And let the overflow spill Into your poems with intentions unknown And hope for the best of luck When everything is gone And you've got nothing left
Emotion is hard to see To the untrained eye But those who have seen the deepest depths Know when others are about to cry
