So often write tragedies,
Vanities,
Ecstasies
Sympathy-seeking
Bleak
Pity parties
But when old friends
And I
Reunite
I can’t help
But to write
In contrasting,
Unmasking,
Night shades
Of myself
Shedding light
Seldom felt
Even rarer
Exposed
To the shivering,
Shimmering,
Slithering
