They are predicting
A coming disaster
But what’s gonna happen
On the day after?
Will there be joy
And a return to laughter
Those are the questions
That we’d like an answer

It’s gonna get worse
Before it gets better
Unless we learn to
Follow the letter
Of the advice that
We’re being told
Cuz this isn’t the flu
Or a bad cold

How can our leader
Just acquiesce?
Without looking for
A way out of this mess?
Why should we wonder,
Or have to guess?
Because he has no answers
Nevertheless

Real leadership is
What we’re lacking
With a cabinet comprised
Of those who are acting
What kind of people
Is the man attracting,
Who provide directives
That are not exacting?
