You are the soul reason
We believe in selfless service
At the expense of your lives
You risked all to save ours
Like the Mesaiah, you laid it down
The world thanks you

You took the hippocratic oath
Swore by all the Greek gods
And the only Uncreated Creator
To preserve the destiny of mankind
In the face of a pandemic caller Covid-19
Even of it takes your life
Thank you!

While we quarantine and pray
Asking forgiveness for sins untold
You solemnly swore to defend our nation
To serve her with all your might
Against all foreign and domestic enemies
But today, it is a biological war we fight
Thank you to all military and para-military

Show me a Nurse in white
I'll show you a person who left hers
To ensure you are not plagued
Fatigued, overworked, but resolute
You took the Nigthingalish oath
To lay down your life if need be
Thank you!

Now you all know the magnitude of her sacrifice
When she and her team stopped Ebola
She should be accorded a national honour
Monuments and schools should carry her name
That the blood of our heroes past be remembered
And their sacrifices that we may live

The world, stopped by one virus
The pendulum suddenly stopped swinging
The sun refused to rise from the east
And set from the west, but spins northward
Right now, say a prayer for the world
That this plague may pass away
Lord, we are sorry, please heal our land
