The moon shines on this forest tonight
As you lie here next to me
And I turn my head trying to meet your eyes
It is then that my delusion of you disappears
And everything is the way that it should be

But who am I to say anything
When the moonlit forest shines so bright
And the tree bows are bathed
In soft silvery light and everything
Is a glow in this lovely night

This moonlit forest surrounds me
As I plead for help
And my desperation turns to anxiety
Everything that is there
Is not supposed to be

In this moonlit forest,
Nothing is as it should be
