My play dough heart don’t know no more than cherry mash and two by fours
And overalls and pecan pies
And dirt on feet on summer nights
Brushing my hair
Brushing your hair
Singing in your brush without a care
Fish tails
Fried
Laying on the cellar while the babies cry inside
And I don’t need your money
I’ve got too much pride
