wedged in a steep

crevice, a watchman blindolded

many times over.

slowly crushed by the hours

he keeps--with no reprieve

from such a cover.

impossibilities come of his

eyes, and the blindfold dampens.

his body a violent rattle solitude

cannot shake off, stifled agonies--

lest the stones may hear vulnerability

among them.
