Tell me I am enough!
That is all I long to hear from the image staring back at me.

Tell me that I can make it,
but my reflection mouths otherwise.

All I hear are the words that are not my own;
spoken from the cruel mouths of others,
being etched into my skin
as an everlasting reminder that abandonment is all I will know.

A worthless, broken, failure of a girl
is all I am destined to see...
