I burrowed deep and built my abode
Clearing woods and stones made a narrow road
Also made a wire mesh compound
Listening to Squirrel's sound
Paved the floor with black soil
Four towering walls never allowed the house to boil
Carpet of grass outside was laid
None to speak with nothing was said
Stars at night marched like a thousand little lamps
And the weather was always chill and damp
But I longed for the warmth
