All That Remains Are The Thorns

     We had a love,
We had a love so strong
So where did we,
Where did we go so wrong

You use to smile,
You use to smile so bright
It use to feel,
It use to feel so right

I wish you,
I wish you were still my only one
But I can see,
I can see those days are gone

I think we,
I think we both know
It’s time to,
It’s time to just let it go

Now as the smoke clears from the sky
I’ve wiped the last tears from my eye
It’s time to move on to a better day
We took our best years
And we threw them away

Now our love is like a rose in the fire
I feel like I’ve got a bull by the horns
When you throw a rose into a fire
All that remains are the thorns
