roots
there is a sense of longing
a sense that you do not quite fit in
anywhere
that you have no home
no roots
you are wandering in a forest
of indifference
the world hostile faces of
the strangers that you meet
with wild, frightened eyes
yet you do not run
you stand firm
and plant your roots
where you are
starting from scratch
a beautiful mosaic
of chaos
and fire
