Hunter's Moon

Scarlet moon hidden

In twisted shadow branches

Hunter's Moon for those who seek

Searching through the midnight

For that which holds his heart

Moonlight stains her flowing hair

He sees it now

But not so near

Footsteps slow

Heartbeat quickens

Slowly goes

Through the mist between them

A few last steps

She turns and sees him

A quiet noise

Now no space between them

The red moon drives it

The soft mist hides it

Shadow envelopes

A velvet blanket

Quiet now

Two lovers lie

Bodies washed

By a blood moon sky
