A poor sinner is what I am
Asking and begging like the sinner I am
Always wanna pray for change but never do
A poor sinner is what I am to you
In others eyes i'm just a man lost in his own way
Like a fiend in the darkness ready to pounce
I subtract all negative feelings before you
That's how I know what a poor sinner I am
I lie to the face of people that care for me
A poor sinner can only be right for so long
All the lies you tell will be there to unfold
Before your very eyes for the poor sinner
Just like that a sinner is born again
Not meant to do what is right but wrong
Only time will tell if he follows the same path
Destined to be greatness but lacks character
Due to being a poor sinner at birth
We always find a way to become who we are
Some days it's hard for people because they sin
Some get by easy because it's a win for them
A poor sinner is what I am
