Behind this puppet's shell
Is a soul made out of strings
Slowly unwinding with each pull of the line
Dancing to the tune of life's expectations
In mimicked impersonations
Of who I should be.
One day the final string will come
And there'll be nothing left inside
Just an empty puppet dangling
From the end of my lifeline.
