Free Ride

put another quarter in the slot
the magic dancing horse has stopped
your forever dream has flopped
the nursery rhyme is over

pick yourself up shake off the dust
the world did not come to an end
but you can no longer pretend
there is still so much more

put one foot in front of the other
find a way to help your brother
you cannot save the entire world
but you can do your part

to live life there is some cost
just do not wander around feeling lost
give from your heart and soul
there is no such thing
as a free ride
