May 2013
Your arms were there to break my fall
Your answer came before my call
Stands between us now a towering wall
Strenghthened by you, and me, and all.

Our bond was one where none could tame
The love that burnt like a morbid flame
Cold winds, and gales they went and came
Smiling we played our seamless game

The carefree talk at the dead of night
The quick brief touch, the mindless flight
You'd said before, and now you're right
The flame was just a dying light.

As I feel us nearing the end
I quietly withdraw the love I lent
I bid you a calm farewell my friend
The broken soul, as I sit to mend.
