Ghost Writers

the eerie darkened sky
the wind howling from the west

you can hear the horses hooves
pounding in the night

a full moon is in the backdrop
creating scary shadows on the wall

the great Owl's hoot warning
that danger is approaching

you slip out of your bed
slowly crawling to the open window

hoping that you see nothing
wishing you could see something

a crackel of wind swept branches
startles and you jump inside your skin

a scrolling appears across the western sky
Ghost Writers were here it says
Ghost Writers in the sky
