little tommy tortoise he was very slow
to the local shops decided he would go
setting of at eight to be there for two
knowing when he got there there wouldnt be a que


he walked around the store for something he could eat
bought himself a lettuce tommys favourite treat
took it to the checkout paying at the till
he just love to shop it gave him such a thrill

then headed home setting of at three
so could be home.  in time enough for tea
tommy had his lettuce his very favourite treat
favourite food of all that tommy loved to eat.

tommy fell asleep tired now was he
full with all the lettuce that he had for tea
dreamt about his trip to the local store
waiting for tomorrow to go again once more
