Upon the waves of despair
I’ve been riding its
chaotic tide.

My tears drowned my fears
as sorrow pushes me over
the edge.

My dreams are darkly lit
but my heart brings
me into the light
of reality.

A dream is but a dream,
a life is but a flame burning
until its exhausted.

Until the dawn
my love will remember
me as a perfumed dream.
