The American people
Have been here before
Now once again
We’re at the brink of war
This time self-interest is
Seems at the core
Which is a reason
That we should abhor

Their story shifts at
Each and every turn
So the information that
We had hoped to learn
Isn’t forthcoming
Which is of concern
The things we’re told
Haven’t been confirmed

It turns out now
It was premeditated
His assination wasn’t
As was stated
Months before
It was anticipated
Their rational therefore
Is antiquated

There’s no office in the land
That’s higher
Too bad the occupant’s
A bold-faced liar
The things he says
Doesn’t serve to inspire
We can see the man’s pants
Are on fire
