I find it rather funny, if a little sad,
which works are read
and which others gather dust.

Some of the most popular works
are only so by the grace of probability
and not because they're deserving.

Merit isn't lent by Popularity;
Popularity isn't always gained by Merit.

Some of my own most self-prized works
go unread by many who read my works
simply because no other has bothered to read them.

So it is.
