I’m weak,
Stricken with concern
Health is underrated
Dropping one by one
Into Oblivion,
My shoulders weigh a ton

Breathing in the air
Breathing in new life
Head is spinning
Blood cells thinning
I’m not having too much fun

Night turns into day
A notch up on the post
Sleeping my time away
Sleeping more than most

Waking up at nightfall
Rest the setting sun
Chasing after every dream
Without the legs to run

Standing at the starting line
Listening for the gun
So that I can begin
The race before it’s done
