I can no longer,
Maintain my silence
In the wake of the violence
Being done against,
The Jewish community
With seeming impunity
It’s my considered point of view
That Jewish lives matter too

I can’t countenance
What makes no sense
How does one gain
From inflicting pain?
In random exchanges
Against total strangers
I guess I can’t relate
To that kind of hate

I’m not throwing shade,
But was the decision made
Based on their religion?
Like a sitting pigeon
You’ve learned to despise
And so you victimize
Without rhyme or reason
You make ‘em open season

What did a Jew
Ever do to you?
To make you hate ‘em so
Bet you don’t even know
Why they’re singled out
What’s that all about?
Attacked with guns, knives and pipes
Based on their stereotypes
