Evergreens and mistletoe
The children all a glow
It’s a special time of year
That we’ve come to know
As the Christmas season
We’re not afraid to show
We can bring happiness
Everywhere we go

I can’t wait for Christmas time
That special time of year
People walking all about
It’s a different atmosphere
All up in department stores
Tryin’ to spread good cheer

Now that it’s almost here

Every child anticipates
The gifts they hope to get
Though that is a part of it
We should not forget
What the date commemorates
And the awesome debt
That we owe to the baby
Who those three wise men met
