When you find that everyone
is holding your hand,
except for the hand
you reach for,
what do you do?

When you find yourself crying
on the shoulder of a stranger
because the one you lean on
is no longer there.
How do you feel?

You smile
and you are thankful.
Thankful that those hands
and that shoulder
were there for you

You do not look
at what you do not have.
You look
at what you do.
For this,
you are grateful.
