Just licked the last stamp
for Christmas overseas
delivery. Straight and in
the corner as I was taught
to do when I was a wee lad.

The envelope had lost its
gum, that, plus no tape of
any sort available in the
abode, forced improvisation.
Wet flour makes a good bond.

But there again, how many
households bake bread these
days, so, a more cunning plan
was kneaded, the sowing box,
I stitched it with red cotton.
