I'm thankful for the *** whoopings,
Home cooking,
Pointless fussing,
And allowing me to witness
A single mother that can make it struggling.

I'm thankful for the month long punishments,
The life lesson hints,
My free rent,
The random presents,
And showing me what true love really meant.

I'm thankful for your birth,
God's work
And your loving care
To always put your kids first.

I'm thankful for you being a mother,
A lover,
Everyday of my life,
Giving me sight of how to pay the price
As a wonderful mother
That never allowed me to dream
Without saying good night.
