it's all right. . . .
to have a passion for life
and to keep trying to get it right
at any age as long as
you don't lose sight of the world
around you and you don't
take love for granted.

it's all right. . . .
if love finds you at any age
during your years
but remember to
turn the page so there
will be no tears.

it's all right. . . .
to make your passion for love
like a flame of fire
that burns into your soul
making it whole.

it's all right. . . .
to have the courage
to embrace your dreams
and to have the strength to
sacrifice for them
and the determination
to fulfill them.

it's all right. . . .
to recall old hurts
but remember that nothing
is gained by living in the past
and that it is all right to
forgive and forget
and to share what you have
with those who have so much
less than you.

it's all right. . . .
to avoid temptation
because as you grow older
it starts avoiding you
and it's all right to forget that
you are absent minded
because we get old too soon
and smart too late.

it's all right. . . .
if you are old but
still have something on the ball
but are just too tired
to bounce it.

it's all right. . . .
to be human.             Jon York           2013
