As we snaked our way
down from the high road
on a tar sealed converted
sheep track with chaotic
stone walls either side, the
sea was in full view.
Mountain streams gushed
over pointed rocks making
the sound of a long applaud.
Hair pin bends obvious as
the Wild Atlantic Way Logo
\/\/\/\/ pointing to Iskeroon.
Next was a cottage with blue
woodwork reminiscent of
Naxos. Then came the perfume
of turf smoke aided by a slight
breeze from the Atlantic in low
tide revealing a pod of sleeping
round stones protruding above
a sea **** surface, close to the
smallest harbour in the world,
Beal Tra (mouth of the strand).
Arriving at a gate, an avenue
with a centre crease of low grass
lead us right to the door where
our two week fairy tale began.

We have just come back to
