Day of Acceptance
Windy warm loving day
homemade kite flying high
letting go of what was
bringing in what will
be.
All those kites of many faces
flying almost disappearing
above our heads.
Little specks, little memories
getting smaller by the minute
soon they will be removed
forgotten they were
around once upon a
time.
Collected laughter among
dusty trails, life moves
forward on a road still
not walked upon.
Faith brings strength leaving
what was lived behind
now a new path shall
be made.
Accepting what must be
silent thoughts whisper
past our existence capturing
all the love we knew.
Never was a day I did not except
beauty of a bird flying by in
song.
