tested the waters
dipped in my toe
for me it's just
a bit too cold
but it senses my warmth
and craves to consume me
to cover every surface
make me part of it's sea
but i pull back
afraid of the sudden obsession
the ocean rages and threatens
with me not in its possession
i'm scared to leave it
because it just needs a friend
but it wants to drown me
