Chivalry must have died
The day that soldier testified
His allegations undened
Although the other party tried
He was besmirched from the start
Despite having a Purple Heart
He’s a bona fide army man
So why call him a partisan?

In defense of the indefensible
You’re liable to hear all kinds of bull
From those who fear the lever pull
Of a primary challenge that’s a handful
They’re afraid of man who few elected
Who’s guilty as charged as suspected
No monuments will be erected
Once the full list of his crimes are detected

He’s a truth teller not a flamethrower
Who heard the call unlike the whistleblower
In other words an actual knower
And if I’m going too fast, I can go slower
For those who refuse to connect the dots
Instead prefer to take their shots
I guess you could say they’ve got the hots
For those who are the real patriots

He was never with me the suspect said
But why do those thoughts even enter his head?
Did it come from something Sean Hannity said
Or from the conspiracy theories that he takes to bed?
I guess it’s safe to say, that we’ll never know
Or the annals of time will probably show
Yet there are those who’ll say even so
As if the rest of us must be slow
