So you say,
You’re born again
But do you know
The moment when?
Your old life
Came to an end
And you became
Free of sin

You took more
Than you gave
Your past life
Made you a slave
‘Til you discovered
How Jesus saves
And you made amends
For mistakes you made

You’re changed now
So you profess
And if I had to
Venture a guess
You’re no longer
The hot mess
That you once were
Nevertheless

I understand
Your need to share
You want others
To become aware
That your salvation
Is sincere
And if they want to
They can go there
