Did you ever want to just flop down in the street,
Count yourself among the many dead birds
Trodden all around, tucked into the pavement
Their greasy feathers all tattered and pathetic?

Under that mask of death
Nothing stirs a life.
Cancered and marred
Lauded and flourished,
Ending a continuum
