Doing the gyroscope
spinning around in the hope
that the world isn't flat,

I couldn't cope with that.

The truth hurts in fits and starts
and if you don't fit in
you don't get a part
in the great production.

I remain solidly
the status quo
happy to be with
the things and
you know
it makes sense,

but a tiny piece of me
wants to break away from the jigsaw
wants to dig down to the core
just to see,
