eat the pudding and keep ferrets,
alternatively
across the way is Lancashire
the place that put God on the map
and pigeons on the front line.

you could spend your time between the two
but why would you?

If you love rolling hills,
Bradford and half-forgotten
cotton mills
there's little hope for you,
but if you like
hot-***
whippets and
Scafell Pike
ger on yer bike
and head for
Lancashire.
friendly rivalry between the Shires
